Intended Readers: All students in CS619 course
Dear Students,
It has been observed that some malicious groups are involved in de-tracking the students
by asking them to pay the fee for developing final year projects. These groups have
created fake Email and Skype IDs, took pictures from VU faculty profile and claim
themselves as VU Officials. All such groups/resources are fake and illegal. They do not
have any connection with VU. They are trying to trap students to get money; VU does not
require any extra fee from any student other than the normal course fee of CS619. In
case of any query regarding CS619, be in contact with your project supervisor and
follow the guidelines given below:
- Check the CS619 announcements regularly.
- Follow the guidelines given from your project Supervisor.
- Contact your project supervisor on given official Email and Skype IDs only.
- Student must add his/her Project Supervisor on Skype on his own.
- If any fake person sends request to students to add him/her for project purpose then, you must avoid adding such IDs.
- Before adding Skype ID of your project supervisor, students may confirm from the concerned person about the authenticity of relevant supervisor via Email or CS619 announcements.
- Take care of your VULMS and VU Gmail login id and password, do not share it with any other student.
- Take care of your important project data.
- If you find any such malicious sources (either a person or online forums/websites), you shall report it at misuse@vu.edu.pk
Additionally, you can write email to cs619@vu.edu.pk or to your project supervisor’s email ID for any query.
